CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers a wide range of training opportunities to individuals whether you are looking for training opportunities or just want to upgrade your qualifications. Our staff can assist you in reaching your goals. See what our training programs have to offer to get you in that higher paying competitive occupation today.


Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), selected individuals receive career guidance and possibly financial help with your training-related costs such as:


  • Tuition and fees
  •  Books


In some instances, funds may be available to aid with supplies, uniforms and shoes, and certification/licensure fees related to training completion.

Steps to WIOA Eligibility and Suitability.

All applicants/participants must meet eligibility of WIOA. Please understand that if eligibility is met under the federal guidelines for assistance, it does not mean suitability has been met. Suitability can be discussed further with the WIOA Employment Counselor. Suitability may address your current credentials, job skills and labor market statistics/information for Pasco Hernando.


To begin the eligibility determination, please complete the process as listed below:

  1. Complete the WIOA online Orientation: WIOA Orientation (then come back to this page for application procedures)
  2. Documentation to gather to build your file/application: WIOA Application Checklist
  3. Assessment is required for WIOA, this may include CASA Assessment, TABE testing or possible other Assessments that are acceptable to the WIOA program. CASA Assessment can be taken with CareerSource Pasco Hernando, an appointment is necessary.
  4. Complete an Employ Florida Registration and or update all information if you have a registration already. (in order to complete a CASA assessment this is required) Employ Florida


  1. Go to the CareerSource Pasco Hernando website/home page. www.careersourcepascohernando.com
  2. Click on the Job Seeker portal on the left side inside an orange box. This will allow you to create a log in or sign on to access the forms below.


  2.  Application for WIOA: Forms must be completed entirely or they will not be considered for training assistance.

  3. Grievance/Release of Information 
  4. Media Release 
  5. Service Agreement 
  6. Income Verses Expense Form 
  7. Documentation of Services 
  8. Career Plan

WIOA is a “work first program” whose goal is to assist customers to enter or return to employment


Pasco Hernando Workforce Board Grant / Financial Aid

Pasco Hernando Workforce Board is offering funding on a first come first serve basis to candidates experiencing a hardship related to training or employment.

To be considered you must submit a 500-word essay describing course of study and/or employment related need for financial assistance, indicating hardship, and whether it is for training or supportive services along with the application.

If Awarded Funding, you will be required to enter additional information in the Employ Florida system.

Funding is limited and once exhausted, requests will no longer be accepted.

Becoming an Approved Training Provider

CareerSource Pasco Hernando invites you to submit your current training programs for addition to its Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL).

Steps:


  1. Please download the 2023-2024 Programs Spreadsheet (see link)
  2. Go to https://etpl.careersourcepascohernando.com/login and create an account
  3. Complete each form or upload documents – there are 11 steps


Ensure proposed programs coincide with the Targeted Occupation List

Complete these steps for consideration by the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board at it next meeting.

All documents requested are the most current you have available.
